Due to my mother's recent passing; I have a number of books published pre-ISBN era (1950's& 1960's). Honestly; I even have some 1930's --- anyone know if those are considered antiques???
I'm listing the 1950's & 1960's below. I've noticed some of these are wishlisted but due to no ISBN numbers I didn't want to post the normal route because I wasn't sure if it would be an exact match.
1 credit each: Hardbacks: most have yellowing of the very edges of the pages; I would imagine due to their age; none have dust jackets; but none are cleaved or cracked -- look pretty good for their age!
1951 - From Here to Eternty by James Jones
1953 - Desiree by Annemarie Selinko
1953 - A Sunset Touch by Howard Spring
1961 - The Carpetbaggers by Harold Robbins
1963 - No Adam in Eden by Grace Metalious
1966 - Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann
2-for-1 credit: Paperbacks: all have been read. All appear more yellowed for the pages. Again, don't look half bad for their age. Listed by copyright years:
1948 - Never Love a Stranger by Harold Robbins
1949 - The Dream Merchants by Harold Robbins
1951 - A Stone for Danny Fisher by Harold Robbins
1954 - I'll Cry Tomorrow by Lillian Roth
1955 - 79 Park Avenue by Harold Robbins
1956 - Peyton Place by Grace Metalious
1959 - My Story by Mary Astor
1960 - Ourselves to Know by John O'Hara
1962 - Where Love has Gone by Harold Robbins
1964 - Harlow an intimate biography by Irving Shulman
1964 - The Girl from Peyton Place by George Metalious and June O'Shea
1965 - In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
1965 - The Lockwood Concern by John O'Hara
1966 - The Adventurers by Harold Robbins
1968 - Airport by Arthur Hailey
1969 - The Love Machine by Jacqueline Susann
1970 - Love Story by Erich Segal
1971 - The Betsy by Harold Robbins
