I post books to my bookshelf and then put them on my reminder list to see how many copies are available in the system: is this the only way to check?  I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious!  I would love to be able to see how many copies are available right from my bookshelf...

Currently that is the only way to see how many copies of  book are in the system.

They stated in a newsletter a while back that they are working on having it show on bookshelf listings how many copies are posted and how rapidly the book is being requested but not your place in line.  Too many factors affect your place in line. But a total copies and a rate of request will help you decide what's worth keeping.  A book with 200 copies in the system but with 20 requests a month might be worth keeping instead of a book with only 2 copies in the system but only requested once a year.
