I like to use the WL sorting feature on my bookshelf's "held" books, so I can read and post the wishlisted books first (while they are still being wished for).  If there is a method to the way the list is sorted (i.e. by author, title, numbers wishing etc.), I can't figure it out.  Furthermore, every time I click on a book (so I can see how many are wishing for it, to help me determine which order to read), and then go back with my browser button, the order books are listed in has completely changed again.  Is there a logical method to the sorting order that I can't figure out, or is it completely random?  (This happens on the Reminder List too, when using the 'availability' sort option, I think.)

I believe you need to sort the whole shelf, then select held books only.  The reset is to sort by title.  Remember, if you sort by author, some books without authors in the database will be hidden.

And there are some gliches in the sort.  I know when I restart my browser, my wish list will be sorted by title but state it is sorted by estimate.

I sorted the whole list by author, then selected 'held' books only (they were listed alphabetically by author at that point), then I used the Wish List resort.  That brought up all my 'wishlisted' books first, but in a seemingly random order--not alphabetically by author or title, nor chronologically by numbers of 'wishes'.  And they were all in a different random order when I clicked on an individual book and then went back to the list with my browser button.  I guess it's a glitch.

No big deal, except it would be helpful if they at least retained the same order (even if there is no method to how they are listed); I have TOO many wishlisted books to read ( a good problem to have, I know), and am trying to be methodical about reading & posting them in order of least to most wishes (I check number of people wishing about every week & put a personal note to remind me; retaining the sort order would just make it easier).

No bigee, I'll just keep the list in alpha by author order, and skip over the non-wishlisted books as I have been doing.

I noticed that on the TBR pile it doesn 't sort them by # of wishers either. It'll group all the WL books together.  But you have to click on them individually to see how many wishers there are.  And then if you back space, it frequently puts them in a different order.  Sometimes even if you just hit the next page button it'll give you books you've already seen on previous pages.
