I've just noticed that some books I've received in is not showing up on my bookshelf.  I think when I receive them in I've marked that I want to hold the book for awhile!  Does that make any difference? Can someone help? - Tks David

There is a button on your bookshelf that switches from the public view to the backstage view. The public view should only show posted books. The backstage view should show books on Hold as well as Posted books.

Does that fix the issue?

Also, how you sort your bookshelf may hide some books.  Sorting by title seems to always show all of them.

When you mark books received there is a check box or button to automatically add them to your bookshelf to make it easier for you to post the books after you have read them. If you choose this option when marking books received, they will show on your shelf marked by a green check overlayed with a  red circle and diagonal bar designating that the book is not visible to other members to request. I think this is what Emily is referring to as the backstage view. After reading the book you can then go to your shelf to remove the Hold and post it for other members to request.

I recommend sorting by date added or title. (The date sort can help me locate books. Gives me a good idea how long that book has been on my shelf as well.) The author sort hides books that do not have author data. (We can add the data on the book edit option.)

Hello to my favorite Werewolf!

David, if you cannot find the book on hold on your bookshelf try the transaction archive.

Find the book in the archive, click on the title, click post this book.  It will want to know if ISBN matches.

OR  under My Lists tab:

Try the TRB (to be read pile) you can post from there too.

make sure it's the correct isbn.

I've done everything all you kind folks have suggested and I show that over the past 3 years I have received 74 books, but only 27 are showing up on my bookshelf!!  David

David, what's in your transaction archive?

Go to your account and look at the options and click on things to see what you can find.

The default setting should be to add the books received to your bookshelf on Hold.

Checking the box removes the book from your bookshelf. It also removes the data from other members wish lists. That last posted data? Depends on us keeping books on our bookshelf.

The books will still be in your Transaction Archive.

David do you have the "view" setting on your bookshelf set to "All Books"? It's at the top of the header area sort of in the middle of the screen. BTW that setting for you only. Any books on hold will be automatically be hidden from the public. If view is set to posted only all it will show you are the books the public sees.

David, Nancy took the words right out of my mouth!  You might be just seeing your posted books instead of all books.
