Second in the series, which starts with Born in Fire and ends with Born in Shame, about three sisters. Set in Ireland. This one has one of the best written heroes, ever. Grayson Thane. Mmm mmm mmmm.

This is the second book in the Concannon Sisters trilogy of western Ireland. Another wonderfully written book about three modern Irish sisters bound by love, spirit, heartache and time.

"Refreshingly realistic and compelling" is how Publishers Weekly described Born in Fire, the first book in Nora Robert's captivating Irish trilogy. Now the bestselling author of Hidden Riches and True Betrayals continues the story of the Concannon sisters, three modern women bound by the timeless spirit of their land. This is the tale of Brianna--whose cool beauty hides a heart of fiery passion...
When the harsh storms of winter descended upon western Irland, the locals stayed indoors--and visitors stayed away. Brianna Concannon's bed-and-breakfast became a cold and empty place. But that was fine with Brianna. She enjoyed the peace and quite, even when the icy winds howled at her window. But this year she's expecting an unusual guest--mystery writer Grayson Thane from America. A restless wanderer with a painful past, he plans to spend the cold winter alone. But sometimes fate has a plan of its own. Sometimes a fire can be born in ice......

Enjoyed reading this, even though I don't usually like love stories. I found it easy to follow even though I had not read the first book in the series.
loved it
Great Roberts read.
Second in the series. Loved it as much as the first!
Enjoyed also.
Nora Roberts is a very earthy writer. She has a great talent for developing her characters, and draws you in to their situations.
GREAT stories; makes you want more...

Enjoying a spell of peace and quiet when a harsh winter storm chases visitors away from her bed-and-breakfast, Brianna Concannon anticipates the arrival of Grayson Thane, an American mystery writer with a painful past.
Book #2 in a trilogy. Good book, I am on #3 now.

The first book of her Irish trilogy. Brianna Concannon's bed-and-breakfast becomes a cold and empty place during the harsh storms of winter in western Ireland. This year mystery writer Grayson Thane from America, a restless wanderer with a painful past, plans to spend the cold winter alone there. "But sometimes fate has a plan of its own. Sometimes a fire can be born in ice."
Great part of the trilogy
A good read.
This is an excellent series. I can hardly wait to read the next book in the series.
This book is one of the 3 in a trilogy about Ireland.

Born in Ice is the second of the Born In... trilogy and tells Brianna Concannon's story. After her father died, Brianna inherited the house and started her own inn. Little did she realize she would fall in love with one of her guests as he focuses his newest book with Brianna as the main character!
The 2nd book in this trilogy is as good as the first! Beautifully written, you feel for these women!
An absolutely fabulous trio of books.
This is the second book in a series called Irish Born. It's a must read.
I'm still qutie new to Nora Roberts, and she blows me away every time. I can't wait to finish the 3rd in this trilogy.
Mine has a different cover----WHITE FLOWER). This is the tale of Brianna Concannon whose cool beauty hides a heart of fiery passion....BORN IN ICE.
If you love Ireland you will love this series!
Book 2 of the Irish Trilogy. Liked this sister's story as well as the first and definitely wanted to read the third sequel.
Nora Roberts is a wonderful storyteller. This is the second in a trilogy, which should definitely be read together and in order. The first book is called, "Born in Fire" and the third is called "Born in Shame". The three books are the stories of three sisters, each born in a different part of their parent's lives. I absolutely love it when I get to experience different people in a family, whose lives I'm already familiar with from another story.
This second book is about a woman who runs a bed and breakfast in the Irish countryside. Winter doesn't bring many guests, but this year a famous American author is making her place his home for the winter and sparks fly!

second in the trilogy. i loved that it didn't over rehash the first book but if someone hadn't read born in fire, they would still enjoy this one.
This is the tale of Brianna whose cool beauty hides a heart of fiery passion.....Born In Ice!
The second book in the "Born in" series by Nora Roberts. Well worth the read.
A wonderful tale!
Second book in The Irish Trilogy. Brianna (who is the focus of this volume) was probably my favorite of the three Irish heroines. The whole series is worth a read (Born in Fire was first, and the third is Born in Shame).

I liked Born in Ice by Nora Roberts even better than Born in Fire. There wasn't as long of a build-up at the beginning of this one. Most likely because the stage was set already in the first book. Brianna is so strong and so tortured that you just want to hug her and make everything ok. Gray's character could have turned out to seem selfish and shallow but he didn't. He came across as an equally tortured but wonderful man. even the tell-tale hints in his behavior toward the end were just right. I almost wanted to give it an A+ since it kept me happy the whole book through and I cried my eyes out at the end. But it just isn't quite up to my other A+ books so I gave it an A.

This is a great series. This is the second in the Born In series. Roberts once again does not disappoint her readers. The books are set in Ireland and the characters are interesting. A great read!
Another great Trilogy
The second in the "Born In" trilogy about the lives of three Irish sisters is a light, fast-paced novel set in the Irish countryside.
Wonderful book!!!! I loved revisiting old characters and learning more about Brianna's B&B. :)
excellent read.
Fantastic series.
The second in the BORN IN trilogy.
Brianna is happy seeing to her Irish b and b. When American writer Grayson Thane visits, Brianna's calm world is shattered. An entertaining Roberts romance.

Book 2 of Nora Roberts Irish Trilogy
Great Trilogy.
Really liked this book. Great Read!
Second in Roberts' Born In Trilogy. Another story about the Concannon sisters and their search for love. I can't wait to read the third one.
Nora Robert's story of Brianna Concannon's life in western Ireland, part of a series of 3
Brianna Concannon is a woman with a rare gift for creating a home, and she makes use of this talent by running a bed-and-breakfast in a picturesque corner of Ireland. Mystery writer Grayson Thane is an American who grew up in an orphanage and has spent his life alone. A restless wanderer with a painful past, Grayson arrives at Blackthorn Cottage intent only on soaking up the Irish atmosphere and writing his next novel, but he finds far more than he bargained for. The beautiful, calm Brianna soothes his disquiet soul, and in her Grayson finds the home he hadn't realized he needed. Brianna knows that by falling for him, she risks her heart, already bruised and scarred by a young love who left her at the altar. But the yearning to let the American melt the ice around her cold exterior is irresistible. Unless Grayson can let go of his past to forge a future with her, Brianna may have gambled her heart in vain.
Mine is the one with the older version. (Same book, Different cover).
Another great book by Nora Roberts!
Romantic Irish saga of the Concannon sisters. Ms.Roberts' way of storytelling makes the characters and scenery so alive!
part of the bodine sisters series
My personal favorite in the trilogy. This is the second in the Concannon Sisters Trilogy.
