On the Boundaries of Darkness is the story of Trianion, the wizard, not always wise and wondrous. Trianion's early days take him to Northerland, where wolves and soldiers lurk. Here he parries with the great warrior Par Hance, whose help he needs to keep evil at bay. Later he must contend with Eland the Assassin, who has wrested the magic harp so vital to his victory.
