Western Historical romance from Samhain Publishing. Nicole "Nicky" Malloy is on the run from the law, and bounty hunters for false charges of murder and theft. She's been successfully masquerading as a man for three years. Then top bounty hunter Calhoun picks up her trail. This is a great book. The ploy is sound, the characters are compelling and the author has a way with fleshing out the characters, and describing their emotions. I was actually scared along with Nicky. The book is even funny in some places. Spicy romance. If you like Western Historicals, I highly recommend this book.
Good historical, but NOT erotica! Just so you won't be as disappointed as I was, this is not as explicit as it is marketed to be. It is a nice story and worth a read, but just don't expect it to be smokin' hot. Most Harlequin Blaze books are sexier than this one.
I own every book in this series I love them so much. I love the setting and the old fashion way of life and thinking.
While this was an easy read, I found it to be boring. I thought Nicky and Tyler were fine as characters, but I had trouble warming up to them. I didn't think they had any chemistry and Tyler got on my nerves with his stubbornness.
