I accepted an offer for a box of books, paid for and printed the postage. I came back on PBS several hours later and noticed that the books were still on my bookshelf, in fact someone else had already asked for one of them on another BOB offer. So I decided to put them on hold so no one else could order them and after I had put two of the on hold I went back to the box and noticed they had disappeared from it. I know I must be doing something wrong, but why would they still be on my shelf after I had already paid for and printed out the postage?

Hi Melinda,

Books for a B-o-B transaction stay on the swappers shelves until both sides of the box accept the transaction. Other boxes and even FIFO requests can ask for them until then. A FIFO request would remove the book from the box transactions though. I think they are gone now because you put them on individual Hold. That will remove the books completely from your shelf so they are no longer available for swap.

You will need to remove the Hold from the books, have the other member request the books for the B-o-B, both of you accept the swap, and then they should no longer be available to anyone else. You should be able to use the postage to mail the box, but I don't know that the DC will be able to be tracked by the system now.

We both had already accepted the transaction. I couldn't have printed the postage otherwise. The option to print postage only shows up until after both parties have accepted.

I've had my Boxer on hold for so long, I don't know if I've done one with postage on it. You may need to send in Feedback at this point and ask the Team on this one. Go down to the lower right and click on Contact Us and ask them what to do with the Box at this point.

Thanks, I did so a few minutes ago. Hopefully I can find out what if anything I am doing wrong.
