Ok question for you other BOB'ers out there.....I have had a couple books come in some of my BOB swaps that are not re postable.  Now I am not sure what to do about this....this is not a credit issue, and out of say 15 books only two where in really bad enought shape where they could not be reposted.

What would you do in a situation like this...all the books I sent to them where in great shape, I would of thought all the books they would have sent to me would have been the same.

Gosh I have had these problems too........I would contact the other member and tell them about the condition of the books and see what they offer. At the very least they should offer you two more books off their shelf. JMO

Hi Troy,

I'm sorry you received some bad books.  I've had it happen too, but thankfully it's rare.

I usually let it go and just don't swap with that person again, especially if the book was in a gray area as far as postability goes.  But you can also PM the person and state why you're unhappy with the books and ask for replacement titles from their shelf.  You also have the option of leaving feedback for the person, and can leave negative feedback if you so choose.

all the books I sent to them where in great shape, I would of thought all the books they would have sent to me would have been the same.

Just remember that the books have to meet posting guidelines.  Yours may be "like new" and theirs might be "good", but postable is the only condition they must match, unless you have RCs.

Thanks, I left a positive feedback, and will go on.  I just expected to be able to post them again thats all.  I will pm them in the future.  Thank for the advice!

I had this problem not all that long ago. I pm'ed the person who sent the books and let them know that 1 of the books they sent had some good water damage to it. She was very nice about it and offered me a credit or a free book from her shelf. She had said she really preferred to send another book, so I chose one. She mailed it to me, but it too had some serious water damage, but I just left it be. The help center also recommends pming the other member (before leaving feedback) to let them know how you received it and ask them if they could make up for it with either a credit or another book of your choice.
