I found this book to be a bit tedious in the detail. I can appreciate the skilled writing, but the amount of minutia encountered on almost every page made it lag for me. I ended up skimming from about halfway through to the end. I have enjoyed other of Baker's books, but not a fan of this one.

I ordered this book after reading the synopsis. It sounded like it would be interesting. I loved it. It was one of the best books I've read in a while that I couldn't put down. One of my top Ten favorite books of all time. Reading the book was like having a conversation with the main character. I could see everything he described very clearly. I can't wait to get other titles by this author.

A really well written and engaging book. The one thing that is did drive me to distraction is WHY DIDN'T HE SET UP HIS COFFEE MAKER THE NIGHT BEFORE? Some readers might not even notice, but I'm detail oriented to an extreme. Nevertheless, it was any enjoyable and quick read. I love the stories of the duck-I want one of my own!
