Hi,

Sadly I have been taken to two different Boxers on the Box o Books. I'd like to know how to end these trades and get them off my "Pending offers".

1. Trade 1 was started 8/8/2007. This user had a few neutral feedbacks and I think just one neg but a lot of positive so I figured I'd trust her. I sent her 4 books and it showed she mailed her 4 books. She mailed her supposily like 2wks after I mailed mine. This is after a number of reminders. After a month of waiting she still hadn't shown she had gotten mine and I had yet to get hers. I wrote her telling her I found it hard to beleive that BOTH of ours was lost in the mail. Then SURPRISE she got my box and wrote a positive feedback for me. Then she said hadn't mailed mine some odd mistake and sent it out to me. Ok I waited like 2 more weeks and still no box. This time she supposily got it back and mailed it out yet again first class to me. Still no box. I went to check her rating again and would you believe she isn't a member of the Box o books anymore?? I wrote her about it and the still missing box and she told me in a quick note she would be a member again by the end of the week. Still she isn't a member. Still no box. I've given her negitive feedback and all my messages are ignored.

So how do I end this??? It is still on my PENDING boxes and reminding me daily how I am out 4 great books. I'd hate to mark the box recieved when I didn't get it. So what do I do???

I have written the people here at Paperback Swap about this user and haven't heard back from them either. (shrug)

2. Trade 2 - This one is kind of like the other one. It started 8/20/2007.  I mailed her 4 books about 3 days or so after we accepted the trade. She mailed mine a week later. I sent her one reminder but let her I kindly know that I understand how life can get in the way. She got my books 6 days after I mailed mine and gave me a positive feedback. I have yet to get the 4 books she says she mailed. She all positive feedback. Not one negitive or neutral. She did tell me one time my box was returned. I found it odd and sent her my address again just so she was sure to mail it to the right place. She said she'd mail it back to me. It's been over a month since since she supposily got the box back and I have yet to get any books.

Again I am out of 4 very nice books. I'd also like to know how to end this trade. I have given her negitive feedback. She now ignores every email. I went just now to check her feedback and it shows she too is no longer a member. ; (

Any tips would be great on how to get these off the PENDING page.

Ashley

I believe you have to contact R&R to get them removed from your pending list.

I don't have any advice, I'm not a boxer, but I just wanted to say sorry for your trouble.  I'm sure it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, so to speak.

The fastest, easiest way to get them off the pending list is to mark them received even though you haven't received them.  It is a little annoying, but it does let you move on with your life, and the feedback you leave can tell the "true" story.

Other than that, the only other way is to use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

I also have 4 "pending boxer request-the oldest is from November '06.  Should I contact R&R and have them take them "off" or like Bret said mark them received-even if I didin't get them yet.  I don't  THINK it is the other persons fault....me the eternal optomist!!

I don't want to give a negetive feedback-I din't think it was their fault....neutral would be..I never got the books???

I had a couple similar to yours and I did not mark them "Received"  because they weren't.".  I contacted R & R and they deleted them.  I had tried to contact these people several times ( over two months) but they never acknowledged the PM's. That was before the Feedback for boxers was inititated. But I think R & R should be aware of the problem members.

Contact R& R.  Both members will have their accounts put on hold and will not be able to conduct trades on PBS until they clear up the matter with you. Do not mark them received. If you do even the non-member would be able to start up again. R & R will move your pending books for you.

I had a BOB never show up.  I left negative feedback (you can leave feedback without marking it received) and then sent a message to R &R asking them to remove the transaction.  It was taken care of that day.

I had that problem. I still have a BOB on my list because my receiver never got her books, but she is the only one that can request that it be removed. Of course I don't think she has been mailing anything for awhile. :(

I am still waiting for a bob as well. It has been over a month and no box.  They got my box and even left me positive feedback.  I have yet to get theirs.   I am debating on what kind of feedback to give because I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt.  Out of several bob trades this is the first problematic one I have had.

I think it isstrange I have 4 BOBS, from 4 different trades. All of them have their books and I don't have any from them.  A couple of them have contacted me and I said I would be glad to mark the BOB received  if I had gotten it, but I hadn't.  My oldest is 11 months old......I guess I'll comtact R&R. I'm tired of looking at them. IF any other the books ever showed up, do I have to go into canceled account or what?

You know, I have seen so many complaints about the boxes that I am somewhat hesitant to order from a Boxer.  Please don't jump to defend because I'm only commenting on the same situation that would seem to need some solution.  I know they're not all bad!!

A boxer did have a book I wanted once and I checked the feedback (person may have even posted here but I'm too lazy to be sure) and it was excellent so I ordered and the book was fine.  So, I wouldn't automatically rule out a boxer and I know that everyone who's not a boxer isn't great either but I've certainly gotten a perception that there's quite a few issues with the boxing.

One thing about boxing is that there is a feedback but I take that with a grain of salt like I do eBay.  I think a lot of bad stuff can slip by before many negatives are actually given.
