I have a 3-book boxed set I'd really like to send complete rather than in 3 separate directions.  Is there a way to list is as a set?

I've tried putting in the ISBN that's on the box but it doesn't get recognized.

Thanks in advance.

Good question. The way I've seen it done around here is that someone advertises the books, the titles and author, in the BB, and if someone wants all 3 they contact you for the isbn's, then add them to their WL, then you can post them directly to that person's WL.

PS, I would make a point of saying at this time you're not going to seperate them, just to make it easier on you at this time of year, so only PM if they're interested in the whole set.  Just my little advice........tee hee..........like you need my help.

You mean advertise your set in the CMT?  I think you'd get a better response in the BB.

Thanks.  I did some more checking and that's the best approach.

I found the ISBN for the boxed set but the info center says if I post it that way I'll only get 1 credit for all of them.  =o

So I guess I'll have to be visiting the BB until they find a home.

What are the books? I would put it in my signature and start posting.  I get a lot of book orders because of the freebies in my signature. I would also put a thread about them on the board for whatever genre they are.  Although some of those get very little action.

What is the set?  I just finished getting a three-book set for my mom.  It took AGES - I would have LOVED to get them all from one person!

It's the His Dark Materials series with The Golden Compass.  But the reason I haven't listed it yet is that I need to offer it to my daughter and make sure she doesn't want it before I let it go.

I've been waiting for that set too and would definitely pay the 3 credits for that...but I figure that set will never come up in my lifetime...lol

Sorry, guys, she would like to read them first.  But I hope it's at least useful to know that there's a big disadvantage to listing a books as a boxed set.
