So someone offered me a box for an audio CD I have.  I picked 2 books from their shelf.  That was 3 days ago and no response yet.  If an order comes in for this CD book am I past the proper waiting time to cancel the BOB and accept the for credit order?  I'm actually kind of suprised it hasn't been ordered yet since the audio-cds I post tend to get snapped up almost immediately.  It's the only one in the system of this book.  The HB & PB version are WL.  I was thinking I'd put a post in the BB that I have it on unabridged audio CD.  But it's still pending on this person's box request.  I see no point in PMing them since they if they had been on they'd see that I accepted their BOB request.

BOB's have no time limit. I have had some where I got tired of waiting ( been there over a week or so) and canceled it. If I was in your shoes and someone were to offer me a credit for the book I would cancel the BOB.

I usually send people a PM and wait a day or two.  Sometimes people (myself included!) think they clicked accept, but they didn't!

I'm thinking about becoming a boxer.  Sending out one or two books at a time every week or so seems less reasonable than sending a box with several books in it.

Do you find it more worthwhile being a Boxer?  I can't decide!

I find it worthwhile to become a boxer. If there is a book I want I usually check to see if any boxers have it, if they do I can trade with them and not have to use a credit. Not every boxer transaction is a box with several books in it though, sometimes a trade is just one book from both parties involved.

Thanks for answering!  I think I'll become a Boxer.  It seems worth it to be able to trade just one or two books without worrying about credits.

I decided to become a boxer because the ones on my shelf weren't moving much. I have a lot of credits and post a lot of WL books. I keep checking out deals in the bazaar but never find one with more than 1 of my RL books.  So I thought why not try boxing.  I have a move coming up. I was going to take the books on my shelf to the UBS.  But then I'm going to put my unread books in storage. I might as well see if I can exchange some of the read ones for dif ones.  My UBS doesn't give much for them and only towards other books.  It's like for every 4 you turn in you get 1.  Not a very good deal.  I'm not making many offers since I have so many books already. But I figured I might be able to exchange some of my more common books for some others that I haven't read yet. So far I've made 3 deals with people who had 1 or 2 of my RL books on their shelf. I've turned down 2 that asked for a whole bunch my of my books and just had nothing I wanted.

I'm still waiting for this person to respond.  I guess I'm impatient. But I'm like "you made the offer, finish it already".  I've accepted 2 other offers already and they've all been mailed on both sides. But this one is still sitting there.

I commented on this in another thread.  I don't BOB, but based on the info you've provided, I would just let it sit and wait, until and unless you get a "regular" order for your audio.  I would perhaps PM them and say "hey, it's been 3,4 days (however long it's been) and I'll hang onto it for you for 2,3,4 more days (whatever feel reasonable) but beyond that, if I get another order for it, I'm going to have to send it out for credit.  Thank you for understanding.  Hope to hear from you soon."
