Having been raised a Southern Baptist and being a retired Southern Baptist minister, I could relate to the experiences of the author of this book. Each chapter is a stand-alone excerpt from the author's life, and not a continual novel. People unfamiliar with Baptist life may not relate to the author's experiences and thus not understand or enjoy the book, but it is entertaining reading.
