This one slows down a little in the middle, but the beginning grabs you and it picks back up for the last third of the book or so. It made me cry at the end (just a little - it is John Saul). Overall a well written work with a satisfying ending.

Strange book, but interesting enough to keep your attention. He was the star of high school until he had an automobile accident. The doctor brought their son back from the brink of death, but at what cost? Do they really want to know? Kind of chilling storyline.

I felt this book, besides the ending which I felt was a little weak, was compelling and satisfying. The plot flows well and keeps up pretty well until, like I said, the final chapter. Otherwise, I was pretty engrossed in this book.
