This is a sequel to "The Hatchet." I didn't read the first book but enjoyed this one, nonetheless. It's like a coming of age version of "Cast Away." Just a kid out on his own in the wilderness trying to make it through.

This book provides the story of Gary who, instead of being rescued, is left to survive a winter in the wild.

My preteen boys really enjoyed this book.
I found this book in a box, never read it, sorry.
Was once a teacher's, so it had discussion questions and is written in.
