One of the most enjoyable western love stories I've read in a long time. It runs the gamut of emotions from heartbreak to cowardness and and from laughter to tears. I gotta find more books by this author.

I really enjoyed this book about Johnny McAllister accused of a crime he didn't commit. He is sentenced to spend a year in Judge McMann's home. If he serves his time without incident he will go free. He meets Ragan Ramsey who takes care of cooking and cleaning the judges home. He is bitter and full of resentment when he arrives, but things change.....
