I think that there is a natural curiosity about the forgotten victims of serial killers, their family members. I think we also wonder about early indicators of their twisted minds and the nature vs. nuture questions. That is the interesting premise of this book; however, it falls far short of plausible explanations or an exploration of the grief and bewilderment experienced by those who knew the murderer best. Instead there is a confusing cast of characters interacting in increasingly odd situations. I made it to page 100 before I stopped reading. There are simply too many books worth reading to waste any additional time on this one.
