A fictional story about a great place - the Grand Canyon, and a real burro who lived there. A nice book for upper elementary kids.

This is a great story, most appreciated by a child if it is read aloud and shared. However, an adult looking for a quick, good read, will also appreciate this timeless story. This is a bittersweet tale and makes you feel good.

This classic is as entertaining as always - for both children and adults. I first read it after riding down the Grand Canyon trail on a mule, and it was doubly exciting. Story: A lone little burro jack learns to cope with his own kind, humans, hunters, other animals and even Teddy Roosevelt. A good read-aloud book
