I stumbled upon this excellent article about things to know and consider while reading opinions and reviews of homeschooling curriculum or books to use for homeschooling. Susan Wise Bauer is the author. I think this also applies to when we read opinion and reviews on discussion boards and email chat lists. This LOL applies to everything I write too, on boards or on my blog.

Also keep in mind that just becasue it works for one person's child doesn't mean it is good for your child.  Two math curriculums might be equally good, but one for a math-minded student, and one for a child who struggles with math.
