Loved the first one but could not even get past two or three chapters in this one. It just seemed stupid and forced, and the dialogue was almost unbearable to read, which is sad as I had higher hopes for this series :(
I thought this one was better than the first one. If she would stay with the story line more and stay away from the Cinsims it would be a better book. I wasn't going to get the next in the series but she left a really good cliff hanger so I may have to buy book three. I will say it is more original than most of the paranormals these days. Ms. Douglas has an excellent knowledge of old films. Give it a try.
I enjoy this series, but you need to know going in that there is a lot going on! With multiple players in the paranormal scene with their own agendas, it can be tricky to feel like you fully understand the implications of everything that happens. If you enjoy complexity in your paranormals, this is a series for you! It could also use a little more editing. The same paragraph is on pages 45 & 53 of this book.
