'Dr. Sam: Johnson Detector' by Lillian De La Torre is a fun collection of mystery stories.  Each chapter has Dr. Johnson (famous from his journey to the hebrides and his dictionary), solve a crime or mystery based upon some interesting story of his day.  Boswell is the narrator and tells us the story from his point of view.  Each chapter is a complete story so it is easy to pick up and put down and come back to later.  Was a fun and quick read.  I most enjoyed reading about the historical incident when I finished each chapter.  She has a section at the back of the book that gives a quick synopsis of each chapter's historical basis.

Why don't you write a review about this book?  That way people other than BB readers will have an idea of what the book is about through your eyes and your opinion of it.  There is nothing listed under this book and most people will not order it without a description of some type. I think that is a shame, it sounds like an interesting book, and I plan to let my husband know about it.
