When I read this book, I felt a close kinship to Walt Larimore. I moved to Bryson City during the Spring of 2001. It was a joy to read this book, because it was like discovering Bryson City for the first time, all over again. The descriptions he gives of the area are spot on. There is nothing like the beauty of the mountains that surround Bryson City, especially during the fall.

A wonderful recollection of the first year of a young doctor in the mountain town of Bryson City, North Carolina. You will laugh and cry!

This is a wonderful story and well written. I cried, I laughed! I couldn't put the book down. Written by a Christian doctor who learns many life lessons in his first year of practice in the Smoky Mountains.

Dr Larimore's first practice. Stories of life, patients, friends, family abound in a new location in Bryson City NC. The stories of the ways of the local doctors are really interesting.
