I teach a high school reading program, and many of the texts I have for students are uninteresting and are casuing students to become disinterested.  I am looking for texts that are at or around the 10th grade level.

I have included some titles I am interested in- but I do not need the specific texts- this is just an idea of what I am looking for.  I will be using my credits for these, so please any offers you can make will be exceptional.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (series) by Jeff Kinney

The Absolutely Ture Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie*

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

Maus I: A Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman

The Twilight Saga Collection by Stephenie Meyer

Dreamland by Sarah Dessen

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

Precious (Push Movie Tie-in Edition) by Sapphire*

House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: 101 Stories of Life, Love and Learning (Chicken Soup for the Soul)

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Cirque du Freak (series) by Darren Shan

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini*

The Demonata Series by Darren Shan

Harry Potter Paperback Boxed Set (Books 1-7) by J. K. Rowling

The Complete Wreck (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Books 1-13) by Lemony Snicket and Brett Helquist

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon*

Stuck in Neutral by Terry Trueman*

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott

Monster by Walter Dean Myers

Street Love by Walter Dean Myers

thank you, Debra

I have 9 books in the Everworld series (#1-6, 8, 9, & 11).  I can do all 9 for 3 credits.  I also have Midnight for Charlie Bone (although, I am not sure if that is too young of a series for 10th grade).  I also have lots more on my shelf, but not many are very current titles, and many of them are nore of an intermediate level.  But if there is anything else of interest, PM me and we can work out a deal. : )

I have the following 6 books I would offer for 4 credits.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (currently on shelf)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (WL book)

House of Sand and Fog (currently on shelf)

Memoirs of a Geisha (currently on shelf)

The Reader (currently on shelf)

The Starter Wife (unpostable slight water damage)

If your kids are anything like I was in HS they like "movie" books! (I am still that way!)
