This may sound very stupid, but I merely just want to know what "bump" does or means in the forum?

Yeah usually used in games or in the bazaar but in the bazaar you should only do it once a day to allow others front page time.

I didn't know it was an acroynym.  It just made sense to me that you were bumping your post back to the top.

I wonder if the word or the expansion came first.  I've seen acronyms that weren't acronyms when they started. :)

My guess is the term came first & someone came up with the words for the acronym later. Otherwise, we might have used the acronym for "Raising Up My Post"...

Scott out.

Scott, you are tooooo funny!!!!

Sandra, I was going to suggest that you could have looked in the PBS Glossary for it, but it's not in there! Guess I"ll have to send in feedback and get it put there, it's not a dumb question, it gets asked about every other month or so, if you've never been told, or been on forums where it's done a bunch, how are you supposed to find out unless you ask!

I knew what it did, but never knew it stood for something.

Originally a legal disclaimer for autos, it's been usurped to indicate that one's experience while true for them at the time may not be true for others.

Actually, I just wanted to use usurped in a sentence.

Scott out.
