I love all the books in this series about a "bookie" who runs his bookstore by day and burgles by night. The library in this title refers to the very high class one at Cuttleford House, an expensive faux English manor house in New England. Bernie finds his book--and a murderer.

Love ernie Rhodenbarr... A heartbroken Bernie goes to spend a weekend at a cozy New England Inn, not only to recover, but to sleuth out a rare book that might be ripe for the taking. When Bernie's ex-fiance, newly married love shows up, things heat up...
All of the Rhodenbarr books are great. I read them again and again . 41/2 stars is good

After all, the signed first edition of Raymond Chandler's "The Big Sleep" is still at the house, just waiting for Bernie to steal it
