From PBS. Quick read. Even though this was written 20+ years ago, I think it's still relevant today. It's written by a teacher (Jack Dewey) who spent 16 years teaching in the classroom. Written by a REAL TEACHER who's been in the trenches for a while. Personally, I hate when people with less than three years TEACHING experience decide to quit and write about their experience. What I hate even more is people who've NEVER set foot in an educational setting and start writing about techniques and theories. College teaching DOES NOT count. Get into an urban district, get your feet wet for about ten years, and then you can write about it. And that's what Mr. Dewey did. I enjoyed it. Fast, easy, and funny! A plus!
