I'm writing this so there is at least something for people to read concerning this book. On the back cover it reads: Adam King stormed across the ballroom, and as he came near, Emmaline Pickworth's pulse hammered like thunder. Within moments, the dark-haired American rancher had swept her around the room to a popular waltz. In the warmth if his embrace, Emma's reserve melted, turning her pliant and yeilding. And when she leaned against his chest and inhaled the scent of the plains, she was no longer a naive innocent in search of a dream, but a young woman hungering for passion. And so on and so forth it keeps going but I'm already getting tired of typing it.
I rated it three and a half stars because there is an air of mystery around the hero that Catherine Palmer is abel to uphold until the end loose ends that are begging to be tied up about his past. The front cover of the book I find to be distasteful. All in all it was an okay read with some sex scenes, after marriage. I am glad that Catherine Palmer keeps sex within the bonds of marriage.

Adam King stormed across the ballroom & as he came near, Emmaline Pickworth's pulse hammered like thunder. Within moments, the dark haired American rancher had swept her around the room to a popular waltz. In the warmth of his embrace, Emma's reserve melted, turning her pliant & yielding. Now, nothing could keep Emma from Adam. Under the blazing equatorial sun, along the scorched savannahs of an untamed land, by camp tents moist w/ jungle heat, & in the moonlit wilds of the African bush, she would come to him. She would defy family, friends, queen & country to surrender to the ecstasy that would make her a woman.
