I purchased this book at a Goodwill for 10 cents because it sounded interesting. This is one of the best books I have ever read. This book is about a young girl who started out with the worst life possible and decided to do something about it. She becomes an Oprah type persona with a deep secret. The deep secret comes in the form of a Billy Graham persona who has his own secrets. The main character is a fighter and after all of the bad stuff that happens to her, you want her to get the revenge she so richly deserves without destroying the empire she's built for herself along the way. The main male character is a snake and you hope he gets what he deserves. This story was well written. The plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. It was difficult to put down. The characters are more than well developed and you feel a connection with each. I highly recommend this book.

I just read this book, and although it is not in the genre I usually read, I enjoyed it very much. There are two interconnected plots---one about a "house of pleasure" for women, and the other about a charismatic preacher similar to many going today who is thoroughly rotten underneath, and the effort for him to get what he deserves.

I was checking out the new books listed today and "Butterfly" was one. I read this book several years ago and it was so awesome! Great page turner and the characters actually "live" as if you were watching them play their roles. A must read!! Two Thumbs up!

I read this book almost every summer since I got it 14 years ago. It is fantastic book that I can't put down whenever I read it. If only Kathryn Harvey wrote more books like it!!

A great read with powerful women and their need to be loved and have things their way without being judged or being thought too powerful. Storyline is wonderful, great plots and the pace keeps you turning the pages!
