Great children's book, one you'll not soon forget! It takes place in occupied France during WWII. One night, Monique awakes to see a "ghost" on her bed. The "ghost" flees. Later Monique discovers that the ghost is really a Jewish girl her age who has been hiding with her family in the cellar. She becomes friends with the young Jewish girl, Sevrine, and begins to understand the dangers Jews face.
