Unlikable characters who exhibit arrogance, ignorance, and some sort of bewildering mysticism made this book a real struggle to read. Frankly, in the conflict between people and polar bears, I was cheering for the bears.

An interesting natural book about a wildlife photographer who accepts a challening mission to photograph polar bears-in their wilderness -up close-in a very small cage.
