I loved this book! I loved the characters and totally felt thier pain and thoughts. Mitchard wrote like a genius. I seriously could not put this book down. This book was so thought provoking and emotional, and I even liked learning about the Mormon background. I honestly don't know what else to say, this work just intertwined everything it means to be human and I was so moved while reading it! A MUST READ!!!!

A decent read. Ran too quick and simple at the end.

I very much enjoyed this book and almost always enjoy the author. It was interesting to me as it tells the story of a tragedy that happens in a Morman family and how the eldest child is affected by that tragedy throughout her childhood and young adult life.

I read this for a book club, and it was a fast read and it did keep me interested. I enjoyed the information about the Mormon community, I read that the author has good friends that are Mormon, and she lived with them awhile before writing this book. The author’s style is much like Jodi Picoult. I will say that a few times I found the dialog confusing, but overall, I enjoyed it because of the lessons it teaches about forgiveness and how each of us has may have to take a different path to find redemption and to be willing to forgive others.

A very good book, with a powerful story. It fell a little flat at a few points, and so wasn't perfect, but was still well worth reading. It's a good powerful story about grief, tragedy, and forgiveness. Veronica is a believable narrator, and lets you feel her pain as she tells her story. Definitely worth the time spent reading it.
