The subtitle of this book is "The Secret Life of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom".

Okay, I don't think I've seen Kate yet go to a soccer game, but that's semantics. Whatever you envision from that subtitle is exactly what you get. It's funny. There are demons involved. It's chick-list paranormal humor infused fun. The author's style is very witty and I found myself several times chuckling out loud.

The best part is Kate. I absolutely adore this character and I loved getting to know her even more in this (which is the 2nd book in a series). She has been developed so well, I feel like I'm running errands with her one minute and the next stabbing some bad guy through the eye with an ice pick.

Oh, just read them. It's not high-brow literature, people. It's better. It's an escape. It's fun. Just do it :)

Not as good as the first, but the first made you care so much about the main character that it's a no-brainer to get the second. It's a little more serious than the first, which had hysterically funny moments. Still, a good book.
