If you're familiar at all with Spider Robinson's work, than you've probably at least seen this one. It's one of the most popular novels from a writer who turns everything he touches into spun gold. All this and it's a fun read too.

Mike Callahan operates the type of establishment I would love to call my second home. The regular crowd of patrons, though they seem like your typical pub jockeys, are a tight-knit group of shade-tree philosophers who could put this country's entire social-services organization to shame!
Spider Robinson is a super stoyrteller. I enjoyed this collection very much.

Classic.
Clever short stories presented as stories of strangers who walk into this rather unique bar. Lighthearted, touching and enjoyable to read.

A fun read, though my pun-loving friend liked it even better!

Read the whole Callahan series! This is the first one, and is one of the best sci-fi books out there. Spider Robinson is a master storyteller, with unforgettable characters, intense story lines, lots of puns and humor.

Interesting little book of short stories. I think it would appeal more to the male sci-fi reader since women don't really go to Callahan's for some reason, except once.
