This was a very well-written book for entertainment reading...full of intrigue, emotion, lightly romantic, and mysterious. The setting in England during the 18th or 19th century gives a glimpse of the class structure in society that existed at that time. The character of Serena Miles Camberleigh was extremely well-developed and was skillfully brought alive by the author.
