Can I ask for a credit (or free with any order) for unpostables in my sig line and the BB? I have seen it done, but have also had people PM me and tell me I shouldn't do it. What's the consensus?

I don't intend to post these books at all, as they're unpostable. Just want to move them and the books on my shelf....

As long as you are up front about condition, and don't post them to your shelf, you can ask for a credit.  TPTB have spoken.    However, if it is a book with copies in the system you are unlikely to have much luck except as a freebie.  I've gotten credits for lots of mildly unpostable WL books, though.

Edited again!  I stand corrected:).  I just knew there was a place to list unpostable WL books and that most of what I have seen have been the "free with any order" ones.

I believe there is a place* to post your WL books that are unpostable.  But other then that, I BELIEVE they have to be "free with any order from my bookshelf".

TPTB have said you can ask for a credit.  Off to find link...

Yes, you can ask for a credit. Like others said, that is only likely to be successful if the book in question is Wish List. But you can offer unpostables however you like, as long as you don't ask for more than 1 credit for them.

I mainly put mlldly (good word) unpostable WL books in my signature, my bookshelf header, and my profile.  It hasn't taken long.

I keep mine in both my profile and my siggy line.  Unfortunately, sometimes they sit around for awhile!
