This was my first Stuart Woods book. I'll be looking for another!
Will Lee, now as president of the US is back. He must find out who killed a conservative politician in his lakeside cabin. Very good book
Not his best book but still a good read.
I am a big fan of Mr. Woods - and in particular, this series set in D.C. with Will Lee as President - the 5th of the "Chief Series". Highly recommended in this genre. Good read.
I enjoyed this book about murders surrounding President Will Lee and whis wife CIA Director Kate Rule Lee. Fifth in a series starring these two people.
I enjoyed all of this series of books.
Suspenseful, exciting...sure to please Wood's fans...
Great book! I read it from start to finish without stopping for anything other than bathroom & snack breaks. ;)Enjoy!
a great Stuart wood "will lee" boook
The 5th in the Will Lee series. A good read.
Stuart Woods at his best.
Great read.. not so much a "who done it" as it is, will the perpitrator escape... just when they think they have him, he keeps slipping through their grasp... will he be caught or will he remain at large... you can only find out by reading the book! Couldn't put it down... power and politics...
I enjoyed this read. The FBI sets a trap for a killer and all mayhem breaks loose.
Very good author, never leaves you disappointed. Read all his books I can find.
Another great offering from Woods. I love reading his "series" in order so be sure to check out all the books that precede Capital Crimes, which include Chiefs, Run Before the Wind, Deep Lie, Grass Roots and The Run.
It's great also to see some "visits" from some of Woods' other characters.
Abridged Edition - 3 hours
I usually talk to friends about a book before I try to come up with a review - so it's not just my thoughts all the time. This book runs the gamut (yes, that's how you spell it) from "outstanding, one of his best" to "disappointing", "weak satire". I think I'll just give you my thoughts!
I liked this book! It gave me something to fill the gap between "The Deadly Sins" and the "McNally" Saga. The story moves quickly, and it kept my attention level up! It was a fun listen.
Granted, your review of this book may be different, especially if you are familiar with his other works - but "hey" we are all entitled to our own opinions - right? When you finish this tape, take a minute and include your thoughts - so that others can benefit.
I love Stuart Woods. This was a great plot.
I loved this book and I'm just sorry that I didn't research further and see that I was getting into a series - at the tail end, no less. Oh well, I'll just have to go back and start at the beginning.
When a prominent conservative politician with a shady reputation is expertly killed at his lakeside cabin, authorities can come up with no suspecsts and even less hard evidence." -from the jacket
enjoyed this book! Great read.
Will Lee finds himself in the middle of a tangled web of intrigue and danger, politics and power. Now at the pinnacle of his career, serving as president of the United States, Lee is faced with a most unusual task-that of marshaling federal law enforcement agencies to catch an assassin who is picking off some of the nations high-level politicos. When a prominent conservative politician with a shady reputation is expertly killed at his lakeside cabin, authorities can come up with no suspects and even less hard evidence. But then, within days, two other, seemingly isolated deaths-achieved by very different means-are feared linked to the same ruthless murderer. With the help of his CIA director wife, Kate Rule Lee, Will trails the most clever and professional of killers before he can strike again. From a quiet D.C. suburb to the corridors of power to a deserted island hideaway, Will, Kate, and maverick FBI agent Robert Kinney track their man and set a trap with extreme caution and care-and await the most dangerous kind of quarry, a killer with a cause to die for.
This one was terrific - it's the first Stuart Woods novel I read and I honestly couldn't put it down. It completely hooked me on Stuart Woods.
Awesome Stuart Woods novel
Third in the series featuring Will Lee.
First time reading on of his books and it was thrilling to the end.
High profile people are dropping like flies, each in a different way.
When a prominent conservative politician is killed inside his lakeside cabin, authorities have no suspect in sight.

Easy read by Stuart Woods
