This is such a fun book. It is part of a series, but in no means do they have to be read in order. It is really very well written and suspensefull, fast easy read and I have enjoyed it so much i'll be looking for more of the Brenda Midnight mysteries by Barbara Jaye Wilson. This is a mystery murder story and has some neat little twists to it. I Hope you will enjoy reading this as much as i did.

Super story; very amusing. Wilson does an excellent job of portraying the New York City ambience. Funky characters, unusual detective (a hat maker), and bizarre situations. Even though this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone mystery.
