While I hated the title, this book and any in the series were a great motivator for my non-interested boy reader in 1st-4th grade. He suddenly had an interest in reading. Cute, quotable book for kids in this age range.

This is a good book for children between the ages of eight and eleven. the book is about a professor with an unusual name and because of it everyone who hears it laughs at him. So he comes up with a plot to get revenge on everyone who has ever laughed at his name.

It is a easy reader for young children!

The entire Captain underpants series is awsome! It got my son to actually read and enjoy it over tv and video games! Lets face it parents we may not enjoy books with wedgies, boogers,and other bodily functions. But this is what our kids find amusing and it actually grabs thier attention and holds it. It is funny and they love it. So if you are having a hard time trying to find something for your kids to enjoy reading, look no further this is it! I highly recommend this series to every parent for thier kids.

Fourth in the series, Dav Pilkey again leads kids on a wonderfully humorous adventure. I highly recommend all of the books in this series, especially for reluctant readers. The "bathroom humor" is exactly what appeals to kids of this age, and since there are lots of illustrations it doesn't really seem like a "chapter book". Even girls like these books, especially if they have brothers who like and use this kind of humor. Quick read, and these books do have AR tests to go along with them if your school does AR.
