The Stars of Mithra series deals with three best friends: Bailey James, MJ O'Leary and Grace Fontaine. All three are childhood friends and would trust each other with their lives, and this is just about what happens in this succession of books!

CAPTIVE STAR is the second book in the Stars of Mithra series and it keeps the quick pace that Nora Roberts set in the first book, HIDDEN STAR. CAPTIVE STAR features MJ O'Leary who is a gorgeous spitfire compacted into a tiny package. Jack Dakota is a bounty hunter hired to pick up MJ, who jumped bail, or so he's been told when a sleazy character hired him. This is easier said then done, and when Jack and MJ are attacked in her apartment by a man with murder on his agenda, Jack decides to find out who lied to him and why. If he can also figure out why MJ has a diamond the size of a tennis ball, it would be an added bonus.

Of course sparks are gonna fly between these two dynamic personalities which adds a lot of flavor to this story!

As CAPTIVE STAR ends, you're left craving more - wanting to find out the rest of the story. Luckily, Roberts picks up the tale in the next book, SECRET STAR.

A fantastic trilogy that I highly recommend! These are "feel good" books with lots of romance and a little bit of mystery thrown in for balance!

2nd book in the Stars of Mithra series. It is fast paced and very thrilling. I read it in one day. I am excited to see how the trilogy ends. One thing I found very intereting is that this book is not a continuation of the 1st book. It actually occurs at the same time as the first book did. Nora Roberts does a great job of connecting the events of this book to the sequence of events in the first book.

The second of "The Starts of Mithra" series. It involves a satchel full of cash and a diamond as big as a baby's fist and another of Nora Robert's great romantic mysteries.

It should have been a piece of cake. All he had to do was pick up some pretty little bail jumper who wasn't even bothering to hide. But cynical bounty hunter Jack Dakota soon discovered there was nothing easy about spitfire M.J. O'Leary -- or about this case.

Someone had set them both up. Now they were handcuffed together and on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M.J. wasn't talking -- not even when Jack found a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything told Jack this alluring vixen couldn't be trusted ... everything, that is, except his captive heart.

This is a good series. Not with the depth of some of Roberts newer trilogys but still superior in this genre.

Short and fast paced adventure with wonderful tough protagonists (you have to love a kick butt heroine, who can hold her own with a hero) a middle book in a thrilogy, that's one of my favorites. Only coming of my shelf becasueof the duplicate copy in my posession

A cynical bounty hunter, Dakota thought it would be an easy case, catching a pretty little bail jumper. But soon found out that MJ O'Leary is a spitfire. Someone had set them up and handcuffed them together. Now they're on the run from hired killers. Good, fast paced story.
