"Wash't she the girl who committed suicide by jumping from some millionaire's yacht?"
"She was Benjamin Addicks' private secretary. The assumption was that she jumped overboard. But as I remember it the body was never found."
The phone rang. Della Street listened for a moment and then said: "The Inquirer has heard about you buying the Cadmus diaries. They want to send a photographer and a reporter and do a human interest story."
"Tell them to come on up," Mason said. "I'll pose."
That should have been an end to it, but when Benjamin Addicks offered one thousand dollars for that five dollar package, Perry Mason really got interested.
