Search - The Case of The Ripper's Revenge

I'm a fan of Sam McCarver's John Darnell, but I found this story to be a bit too contrived. The actions of the characters seemed a bit stilted, and much less than believable. A disappointment, to be sure ... but not enough to keep me away from future John Darnell stories.

Once again in the silent streets of Whitechapel London; a brutal killer stalks on the blood of prostitutes. Though murders are common, what gets the attention of the Scotland Yard is the way the crimes were committed; they're savagely done in grotesque ways… they are also very familiar.

Professor John Darnell has been called in by the Scotland Yard to help investigate the crimes, they soon find out that they have a copycat in their mist; coping the patterns of “Jack the Ripper” which springs fear from the past once again.

Will they be able to spring a trap in time to catch this copycat before another “Jack the Ripper” victim is found? Will they be able to solve this crime before it's too late?

This book was very adventurous and keeps you wondering. A good thriller and very well done. Highly recommend anyone to read this book if they like good mysteries and thrillers.
