Innocent Maiden: Meredith would never forget the moment she first saw the baron of Afoncaer. He was like a dazzling vision, with his armor glistening in the sun and his blue eyes shining honest and true. Though she knew she should despise the Norman intruder, she could only admire the lean strength of his body, the golden handsomeness of his face. And the innocent Welsh maiden realized that in one breathtaking instant she had lost her heart to one she could only call her enemy. Worldy Knight: Danger would be Sir Guy's constant companion in this untamed borderland between England and Wales, and he was determined not to show weakness before these people he must rule. Then he saw the silver-eyed nymph in the forest and knew this land would be perilous indeed. For how could he not love so fair a lady? He dreamed of encircling her slender waist with his strong hands, yearned to see her fiery curls spread across his pillow, ached to know the feel of her creamy skin under his fingertips. And he swore he would never rest until he'd made her his own, and brought her to her rightful place beside him in his Castle of Dreams.
