A good instructional book to have in your quilting book library. Robin Strobel has a way of laying things out for those of us who need a little extra help along with good pictures and diagrams. There are just six quilts here, but any of them can be made to look different with the use of varied and sundry pieces from our fabric stash. Each pattern includes instructions for four sizes.
My favorite is the Basic Tipsy Nine Patch. Since so many of my quilts look "tipsy" anyhow, or at least they look like they were made while I was "tipsy," I can totally appreciate the value of a planned Tipsy Quilt. Look for it on page 22. It's easy and fun to make, just as the rest are.

These are indeed stress-free projects. Just pick out complimenting fabrics you love and the rest is all done for you. Each project has a chart giving the finished quilt size, block size, number of pieced blocks, amount of yardage needed of each fabric (broke down into fabric for squares, border, backing, etc.), and what size, how many pieces to cut from each fabric. This is mistake-proof cutting. The quilt images are in full color, the pages glossy, all you need to do is decide your own colors. This means less time piecing and more time to quilt!
