I just posted about 20 books on Catholicism and Christianity. My shelf (of about 190 books) leans strongly in that direction already. Check it out if you're interested. I will be happy to answer questions about a book or provide a more complete description if you PM me.

- Chris

I have an unpostable copy of Dermot Lane's The Experience of God: An Invitation to Do Theology.  It's yours for the asking, with any order from my bookshelf.  It has lots of pencil underlining and marginal notes.

Here's the book description from its PBS listing:

Book Description:

The Experience of God: An Invitation To Do Theology is an exciting synthesis of topical issues such as experience and God, revelation and history, faith and unbelief. Theology emerges as an exciting adventure available to all.

This timely work will be of interest to priests and religious, teachers, adults wishing to deepen their faith and students of theology.

"The chief merit of this book lies in the skillful way in which the author has synthesized the central issues of fundamental theology and has thereby made a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate on the relationship between God, person and experience...[This] should be on the required reading list for introductory courses in theology and religious education." --The Living Light

"...an excellent synthesis of various strands of theological thinking today. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in this new experiential approach to theology...." --Irish Theological Quarterly

"...it provides a very satisfactory overview of the theology of experience-revelation-faith...." --The Furrow

"...a handy text for an introductory theology course." --The Heythrop Journal
