A previous edition grossly abused the text of Familiaris Consortio. Fortunately, that error has been removed. But the new edition does not overcome significant defects, including insufficiently personalist language, utter failure to incorporate the teaching of or even refer to relevant Church documents like Mulieris Dignitatem, etc. I would never recommend this book to engaged or newly married couples.
