This book contains the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible with the Apocrypha, and the books have been rearranged to match the standard Catholic order of the Bible. As far as I know, this translation has not been approved by the Catholic Church, so that is something to keep in mind.

Despite that, however, I would still recommend this Devotional Bible to Catholic Women (although I think most women would enjoy this book).

The 260 "Devotional Readings" are each set in a section of the Bible they pertain to. They cover a range of subjects, including pain, disappointment, failure, love, excitement, and thankfulness (and much more!).

The 52 "Weekend Meditations" or focuses on women are wonderful. They allow the reader to better understand what is going on in stories, specifically through the women characters point of view. So many of the lessons from these women are still relevant to us today.

The 50 "The Tradition" sections are great because it links scripture to Catholic beliefs and puts in layman terms what may be harder to understand when reading from the Catechism.

The "Book Introductions" aren't as detailed as the ones that may be found in some other versions of the Bible, but still give useful basic background information.

The "6 Year Reading Guide" is linked to the daily lectionary for the Catholic Church; however, this version of the Bible is not the same one they use in church, so the readings will sound different.

*I have to rate this at 4 stars due to the fact that it doesn't have an approved Catholic version of the Bible in it; if it had an approved version, it would be a 5*
