All things considered, there are much worse beginner books out there on things Celtic. (I'm looking at you, DJ Conway.) It's nice to have for the recipes and the "Tuatha de Dictionary", as a friend of mine called the extensive list of gods and goddesses. yes, there are some serious bits of misinformation and bad advice in this book- Llewellyn published it so that's a bit to be expected. (A hint- do NOT ask the "lord of the mound" for gardening help. Really. Don't.) On the other hand, the writing style is engaging and it's a good book for encouraging enthusiasm for the subject matter. A fun read, but don't let it be the last thing you read about Celtic spirituality.
