I just finished two of his books - "The Average American Male" which I guess was supposed to be a fictionalized memoir of sorts and "The Lie," which actually is fiction. Holy COW. I do not think I've ever been more disturbed in my life from reading two books. In fact, I had his newest on my RL (because my WL is always maxed out) and just went and actually deleted it. I don't think I can read anymore of his books. This is someone who literally hates women so much... I mean, I thought Tucker Max was funny, and I'd read him again and again. But this guy? OMG. I would love to hear anyone else's reactions. I'm not a prude or anything, but the absolute violence, debasement, humiliation and disgust this guy pours out on women, I don't think I've ever read anything like it in my life! At times I wanted to make myself stop reading his 2nd book, but I just had to finish. I wish I hadn't, but now I'm just going to avoid him. Part of me actually applauds the guy as a writer - to elicit this kind of reaction means he is an excellent writer, I would suppose. But in my life I've never heard/read/seen/experienced ANYTHING like what this guy writes his characters doing to the women in his books! Now I am going to pick something incredibly light and fluffy!
