Hmmm...let me see.
All sex, no story?
Playboy without pictures?
Kearney has no 'klue'?
I give up...

She was shot protecting the president, and woke up naked, in the arms of a hunk....A hunk named Kahn, who told Secret Service agent Tessa Camen an outlandish story about traveling through time, saving the world, and a Challenge only she can accept. Kahn offers her proof she can't refute: Tessa has been brought forward through time to save Earth by winning an intergalactic challenge. Kahn only has a few weeks to train Tessa to use the psi-abilities he insists she has. He is confident in the success of a time-honored method that uses sexual frustration to bring out her powers, but Tessa is dubious. She's a martial arts expert and can fight her way through anything, but she's never had much luck with emotions. Luckily for Earth, Kahn can be very convincing....

I disliked this book so much that I could not even finish it. The main theme was how much sexual frustration could both characters endure. Definitely not much of a story in the beginning. It may have gotten better if I had read further, but I just could not endure any more stupid games.
As the two cultures collide, Tessa and Khan will find much to admire and respect in each other's customs. The greatest
challenge after all is of the heart. When you throw an alpha male and an alpha female together there are bound to be
fireworks, and that's what makes this story so much fun to read. Sparks fly as the two go from being combatants to becoming
soul mates. The Challenge is all that and more! Tessa and Kahn are the most three dimensional characters I've seen
in a while and both couldn't be more opposite if they tried--background, species, temperaments, beliefs. It's exactly
why they're perfect for each other and watching them come to the same conclusion was an adventure not to be missed.
I really truly wanted to hate Susan Kearney's "The Challenge." To my consternation, it was written rather well and the
story was genuinely interesting. At the end of the story I found that I did not hate the story so much as I loathed the hero
of the book for being such a "me big strong man, you weak woman" kind of guy. In the end, I not only loved the hero, I
was rooting for the little bugger. You have to read it to understand.
A sequel featuring a secondary character from this story. I am anxiously awaiting Dora's story!

I love this book! I read it like 5 times. The two character's chemistry was hot!!! She wanted to save earth, and he wants to save his on planet and people, and she is the key. So he helps her to be a stronger person and he ends up mating with her. But their differences are what made them struggle and come together through out the book...
I found this book to be just ok. The lead, both female and male, were overly simple. The male lead went from no compromising for most of the book to a complete compromise in the last chapters. It felt off. The biggest reason I can not give the book a good review is I did not immediatly get online to paperback swap to order any more of her work.
Pretty cheesy in a me Tarzan you Jane kinda way. There were way too many gratuitous sex scenes but I expected that due to the synopsis. The computer was adorable.
I picked it out because I thought the plot had promise...could have been better.

More Sci Fi than I normally read in my romances but a good read. Interesting premiss, kept my interest well.
First in the series and what a wonderful start. Susan Kearney makes you want to keep going to find out what will happen next.
not bad at all
Another good one in the series.
Decent story line but way too sexually explicit for my taste.
Tessa was a secret service agent protecting the president when she was flung into the future to complete a challenge that could save the USA.
Great futuristic romance
Liked it alot. I will check out the previous books and the next ones.
Very intense future romance.

A book from the Tor Paranormal line
